Three injured in Paris knife attack, one suspect arrested, police say
Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said an off-duty officer detained the suspect, who made incoherent statements and left two victims seriously wounded.
A man attacked three people using "two knives" in Paris on Monday, according to the Paris Police Prefecture. The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. GMT in the Porte Clichy area.
Following the assault, French authorities reported the suspect was arrested "quickly" by an off-duty officer. The suspect remains in custody while investigations continue.
Paramedics treated three victims at the scene and transported them to the hospital, police added. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez noted two of the three women are severely wounded.
The attack took place in the Porte Clichy area, a busy district of Paris. Authorities have provided no additional details regarding the status or identities of those injured.
