The village of French Island is holding elections to select a village president and six trustees following its recent incorporation, with two candidates competing for president and multiple trustee candidates including two write-ins.

French Island voters elect new government on Tuesday

Residents of the new Village of French Island choose their leaders on Tuesday. In a special election, voters select a village president and trustees.    The election comes as part of the village’s incorporation in May.
