Fremont moves to expand broadband access in $7.7M deal with New Jersey-based firm

The city of Fremont is set to award a roughly $7.7 million grant to a New Jersey-based internet provider to operate the city’s fiber-optic cable network and offer internet service in areas with unreliable or nonexistent broadband access.
