Fraudsters threaten to go to police when victim balks at returning ‘mistaken’ $10,000 deposit: North Olmsted police

The intended victim of an online scam told North Olmsted police that one of the fraudsters threatened to report him to the IRS, FBI, and police unless he returned $10,000 that was supposedly deposited mistakenly into his bank account. An officer at 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 25 responded to the Century Federal Credit Union on Lorain Road for a fraud report.
