Boxing icon Frank Bruno hospitalised after falling ‘seriously ill’ on flight
Frank Bruno fell seriously ill during a flight from Heathrow to Thailand via Doha on March 3 and was diagnosed with a viral infection after treatment in Qatar.
Bruno was hospitalized for nearly two weeks, forcing him to cancel his Thailand tour scheduled to start on March 6, according to his manager Dave Davies.
Bruno has since returned to Britain and is recovering, stating on social media he is told to rest but plans to return to work when doctors allow.
Ricky Hatton expressed hopes for Bruno's speedy recovery, calling him a British boxing legend and a good friend.
