On Wednesday 30 April, Prime Minister François Bayrou began a series of consultations of the political forces on proportional representation, a vote that the Prime Minister has long been demanding, but on which disagreements remain numerous. And the National Rally (RN) was the first party to be received.
"God knows that in the society in which we live, we need to appease the reality of pluralism," the Prime Minister told the Senate this Wednesday.
Video - On Wednesday, François Bayrou launched a consultation of political parties on the adoption of a proportional share in the general elections. At the time of his general policy statement, he had announced that he wanted to move forward on the subject.
