Harris County will dedicate a downtown building in honor of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. The ceremony, scheduled for Thursday at 1111 Fannin, will unveil the new name of the 17-story office building, which recently underwent upgrades.

A downtown government building is now renamed in honor of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Harris County leaders gathered on Thursday at 1111 Fannin near Lamar for the dedication ceremony at noon. The recently renovated 17-story office building houses various county operations. County Commissioners voted unanimously last year on a suggestion from Commissioner Rodney Ellis to rename the building after Jackson Lee.
HOUSTON – After an intense search that included officers from Harris County Police District 4, the girl under 4 was located, missing northwest of the county. Earlier Police District 4 reported a strong presence of uniformed men on 20200 Ella Boulevard. So far it is only known that she is an African American girl wearing a yellow shirt and a pink skirt.
