The Armed Forces filed a complaint with the Prosecutor to investigate an alleged kidnapping of military personnel held in Cotacachi.

According to official reports, the liberated soldiers arrived at the police unit of Cotacachi, handed over by members of the indigenous community. In the procedure it was found that the uniforms denounced physical assaults and the burning of their regulatory uniforms.
