Five Hurt in Lee County School Bus Crash (Keokuk) Four students and a bus driver were injured Friday afternoon when a Keokuk Community School District bus crashed in Lee County. The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened in the 3500 block of Argyle Road around 1:53 p.m. Five people were aboard the bus at the time – the driver and four juvenile passengers all sustained injuries. Four of the individuals were transported by EMS to a hospital in Fort Madison, while one was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. According to the report, the school was traveling eastbound on Argyle Road, and for unknown reasons went out of control, and rolled into the north ditch. Several law enforcement, fire and emergency medical agencies responded to the scene, along with school staff and dispatchers. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
