The incident happened around 6:30 PM, when Navtej Singh alias Neetu was returning home to Krishna Nagar from his village in his Toyota Innova. The attackers fired eight to 10 rounds at his car on South City Road in the Ladhowal area of Ludhiana before fleeing the spot, as per reports.
Serious questions have once again been raised about law and order in Ludhiana, Punjab. Navtej Singh, alias Neetu, the former sarpanch of Manewal village in Ladwal, was shot dead by criminals. The incident occurred late last night while Navtej Singh was returning home in his Innova car. Unidentified assailants on motorcycles surrounded his vehicle and opened fire, firing approximately 10 rounds at the car.
