Ten years ago, Leiden was ‘robbed’ of one of its greatest eye-catchers. The ‘pirate ship’ De Sneeuwwitje suddenly disappeared from the Utrechtse Veer, towed to the distant Markelo. Now, the snow-white boat is back and is being festively reopened this afternoon in a fully restored state as a studio, meeting space, and wedding venue. On board, a white wedding dress will look like a fairytale camouflage gown.
