Former gymnastics coach (27) requests acquittal for harassment and rape: “A case of word against word”

“It remains a case of word against word.” Bart Vosters, the lawyer for former gymnastics coach J.P. (27) from Geel, requested his client's acquittal on all counts for the harassment of two underage girls and for the rape of one of them. Two weeks ago, the public prosecutor's office had demanded a five-year prison sentence for the twenty-year-old, who had previously been convicted of sexual offenses with minors.
