In Ille-et-Vilaine, the small town of Saint-Just has been hit by a strong fire since Wednesday 12 August: 220 hectares of moors and forest have been ravaged, 157 people evacuated. The flames, stirred by heat and wind, approached the houses on Thursday. The fire was still not fixed at the beginning of the evening.

The fires now regularly affect the northern half of the country. More than 130 firefighters are currently fighting the flames in a forest in Saint-Just near Rennes (Ille-et-Villaine). Moments of anxiety for the hundred people evacuated, currently accommodated in a gymnasium.
The 200 firefighters mobilized during the night of Wednesday to Thursday 13 August benefited from favourable conditions. No buildings were affected.
