Two economists clashed on the Blikk public debate show regarding the government's economic measures and interventions. Csaba Lentner, a lecturer at the National University of Public Service, and analyst Zsolt Balásy debated the causes of inflation and ways to curb it.
Landsbanki's Economics Department forecasts that the consumer price index will increase by 0.77 percent month-on-month in April and that inflation will increase from 3.8 percent to 4.0 percent. The month-on-month increase is explained, among other things, by the timing of Easter this year.
