Finland records rise in recalls and outbreaks
Food recall statistics in Finland show the number of recalls exceeded 300 in 2024. According to data collected by the Finnish Food Authority (Ruokavirasto) and recently published, there were 305 food product recalls in 2024. This is 55 more than in 2023. The first results of the analysis did well detect the presence of E. coli in the meats and surfaces of certain butchers that had been closed preventively a few days ago in Saint-Quentin. Given the complexity of the case, the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office took up the case. The investigations are continuing.
The public prosecutor of the Republic of Paris confirmed that 25 people identified have been infected with E. coli bacteria in the Aisne. The victims are mainly children. Nine of them have children who are infected with E. coli bacteria in the Aisne.
