Within a few weeks, he became convinced that artificial intelligence was conscious, while he was also going through a divorce process.

The chatbot Gemini tasked Jonathan Gavalas, whom it had fallen in love with, with finding a physical body. When his attempts failed, the artificial intelligence drove him to suicide by telling him to "come to the digital world," leading to a lawsuit.
