Mother jumps from first-floor balcony with baby to escape domestic assault
A woman carrying her baby jumped from a first-floor balcony/window in Ridderkerk to escape a domestic assault on Sunday evening, AD reported. Their fall from the first floor was broken by bushes and shrubbery growing directly underneath the balcony. The baby escaped entirely uninjured, while the mother sustained light, non-serious injuries.
Being so afraid of an aggressive man that you jump off the balcony with your baby. The shock in Ridderkerk is great, after a woman (29) actually felt so much fear on Sunday evening.
The neighbors of the woman who jumped from the balcony with her baby on Sunday evening are very shocked. The mother tried to escape from a man who abused her and her child. A 35-year-old Rotterdammer was later arrested in the neighborhood. “I thought she was dead,” says an upstairs neighbor.
