After suspending from the Mistral Bridge in Valencia and installing a banner on the road, five activists were in prison since Friday, 15 May. They were released by decision of the Valencia Judicial Court on Monday. Their trial was postponed to July.
On Monday, eight militants of the group "Friends of Plaine" were tried in an immediate court appearance in Valencia. On Thursday, 14 May, they were arrested by law enforcement forces while they were taking actions to protest against a roadworks in Saint-Péray. The five who had been detained were released. The case was dismissed in July.
Eight environmental activists opposed to the Saint-Péray bypass in the Ardèche region will stand trial on July 6 for hanging from a bridge and blocking a railway line on May 14, Ascension Thursday.
