Heritage organization Herita has had 350 kilos of live carp removed from the moat of Laarne Castle. About ten fish did not make it. The water level and oxygen levels in the moat are exceptionally low for the fish.
Due to the persistent heat and drought, water levels have dropped sharply in various locations. In the pond in the center of Scherpenzeel, anglers sprang into action to catch as many fish as possible and relocate them. From tiny roach to colossal carp: "Wow, those are some impressive specimens!"
