First Nations, Norwegian family unite to honour adventurer’s life and legacy
The family visited Cree communities that helped search for Steffen Skjottelvik and joined memorial and healing ceremonies after his death last summer.

- Grand Chief Walter Wastesicoot of the Keewatin Tribal Council arranged traditional ceremonies for the parents, including a "coming home" ceremony, stating, "It demonstrates that we are people first and foremost."
