Pyrotechnics exploded among Baník fans, five injured

Five people were injured, one of whom is a child and one seriously, in a fireworks explosion among fans of Ostrava's FC Baník club on Saturday. The explosion occurred before 3 p.m. in front of the Ostrava-Vítkovice train station.

Near the Vítkovice station, a pyrotechnic device exploded among the home fans, injuring five people, including a child. A 20-year-old man, who suffered a very serious head injury, was taken by paramedics to the emergency department of the Ostrava University Hospital. The police are investigating the case.
