Firefighters stopped a seven-acre brush fire in the Sylmar area that was burning upslope away from homes at a slow rate of speed Sunday, Aug. 31. Firefighters managed to stop the spread of a half-acre brushfire in the San Pedro area of Los Angeles Sunday.
