Residents of Good Hope Phase Four on the East Coast Demerara have alleged that members of the Guyana Fire Service (GFS) were selling water in the community, but the agency’s Chief Operations Officer said the GFS is unaware of this and describing the claims  as vague and unsupported by evidence.
