Fire on the 401

Traffic on highway 401 near Deseronto has been slowed, as firefighters respond to a fire on the highway. Tyendinaga firefighters responded to the eastbound lanes of the highway between Highway 49 and Deseronto Road at close to 9:10 this morning. A car had caught fire and stopped on the shoulder of the highway. All occupants of the car had managed to exit safely. Traffic in the area is experiencing significant delays.
