Violent fire on the heights of Narbonne, nearly 400 firefighters and air assets mobilized

Now fixed, the fire, which mobilized 400 firefighters, has burned more than 60 hectares. One house was destroyed and four others damaged.

A violent vegetation fire broke out around 16:00 on Tuesday, September 10, on the heights of Cap de Pla in Narbonne, in Aude. Reinforcements are on the way.

Although the fire was fixed around 6:45 p.m., the violent wind that fanned the flames all afternoon prompted firefighters to remain vigilant. One of them was slightly injured.

Since 4 pm this Tuesday, September 10, a hundred firefighters and air assets have been engaged to contain a violent fire near homes in Narbonne.
