Fire in Webb City, Red Cross assists displaced occupants

WEBB CITY, Mo. (KOAM) — Just before 6 p.m. Saturday reports of a structure fire near 3rd and Jefferson Ave alerted E-911.

There was a house fire Saturday evening around 6 P.M. near 3rd and Jefferson Avenue in Webb City. Webb City Police and Fire responded. Joplin Fire, Oronogo and Carterville Fire crews assisted. A garage was fully engulfed when fire crews first arrived and spread quickly to the residence. The fire was reportedly intense and caused extensive damage to the garage and residence.
