A major fire was declared on Thursday 17 September in the area of the Calvi-Sainte-Catherine airport. Nearly 28 hectares were covered by flames before the fire was fixed. Between 100 and 120 firefighters were mobilized, supported by foresters, soldiers of the 2nd REP and important aerial means.
