The fire in Aude is under control. For 48 hours, the fire covered 17,000 hectares. Throughout the day of 7 August, firefighters from all over France struggled against the cover of flames.
The day of Thursday was marked by numerous fires in the huge theatre of the fire-extinguishing operations of the Aude. Between Thézan-les Corbières and the hinterland completely ravaged by the flames, a report of the direct contact of the flames with the fire-fighters.
After 48 hours of fierce fire fighting on the part of the firefighters, the giant fire that ravaged Aude was "fixed" on Thursday, August 7, but is not yet completely extinguished. But already early aerial images show a catastrophic environmental record.
