LAPWAI, ID – On Sunday evening, August 3, Lapwai Volunteer Fire Department and Culdesac Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Lapwai Middle School. Crews arrived on scene around 6:08 p.m. and discovered that a motor in the building’s HVAC system had seized and overheated, melting the power supply wires connected to the fan.
