A fire was reported on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the IFCO Recycling recycling plant in the village of Gurabo.

Authorities had to close the entire highway in both directions to properly handle the fire reported at a recycling plant.

A fire of great proportions broke out this Friday in the IFCO Recycling plant, located in the Navarro neighborhood, in Gurabo. The accident was of such magnitude that the Fire Department requested the help of units from several municipalities. At the moment it is unknown what caused the accident, which was controlled.
