A fire at an oil refinery in Ardmore left heavy smoke and a large presence of first responders in the area on Monday afternoon.

The Ardmoreite Valero has issued the following statement about a fire that took place earlier this evening. “At approximately 5:15 p.m. a fire took place at the Valero Ardmore Refinery. Valero emergency crews along with local emergency response teams are responding. Valero is working with local and state agencies.
