A fire broke out at the Rarawai Sugar Mill in Ba around 11.30 a.m. today, the Ministry of Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry has confirmed, reports The Fiji Times. According to initial reports, the blaze began in the powerhouse section of the mill. The National Fire Authority (NFA) is on site working to contain the flames. Fire breaks out at Rarawai sugar mill

Operations at the Rarawai sugar mill have stopped due to a fire outbreak in the factory. All workers have been ordered to evacuate and assemble in a designated area of the mill. While details are sketchy, it is believed the fire is started in the power-house area.
