Finland first in the world with solution for final disposal of nuclear waste

Finland has become the first country in the world to solve the global challenge of nuclear waste disposal. The Onkalo underground repository, located at the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant, is now ready to receive thousands of spent fuel canisters.
