Last Thursday, the Nanterre Economic Court ruled the judicial liquidation of the Brandt Group, which markets 4 major brands of household appliances: Brandt, de Dietrich, Vedette and Sauter. Four days after Brandt announced that it had ceased its business, since the household appliance group was liquidated, the approximately 350 employees of the main factory in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle had an appointment this Monday morning to talk about their professional future.
On 11 December 2025, the French court declared the liquidation of Brandt, a historic home appliances manufacturer, marking the end of an era for this last French producer of large household appliances.
