Fifth grader Jayden Jiang, who attends Girard Academic Music Program in Philadelphia, won the regional spelling bee in March for the second straight year to qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which will be May 27-29 in Washington, D.C. Jiang, 11, said he hopes to do better than his quarterfinals finish at the 2024 competition.
