The Constitutional Court rejected all three complaints by the opposition party Fidesz against the 17th constitutional amendment approved after the new government of Prime Minister Péter Magyar (Tisza) took office, stating that it was not authorized to rule on the matter. The Prime Minister welcomed the verdict, which Fidesz described as another step towards government arbitrariness.
Tamás Sulyok and the Constitutional Court have not behaved in a way that suits Fidesz, and even the moon court is coming at them in pairs. According to the former editor-in-chief of Pesti Srácok, Fidesz has screwed itself.

The removal of Tamás Sulyok, the 12-year term limit for members of parliament, and the 70-year age limit for constitutional court justices were all constitutional — Prime Minister Péter Magyar responded to the Constitutional Court's (CC) Monday ruling in a Facebook post.
Hungary's Constitutional Court on Monday rejected all three complaints by the opposition parties Fidesz and the Christian Democratic Union (KDNP) against changes to the Hungarian constitution that were passed by parliament with the votes of Prime Minister Péter Magyar's ruling Tisza party. The court mainly argued that it lacked the authority to rule on the matter, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
Faction leader János Bóka is speaking after the Constitutional Court rejected all of the opposition party's submissions at its Monday session.
Opposition members requested norm control on three points, but were unsuccessful.
