FG, States, LGs Share ₦2.338trn August Revenue

- During a meeting in Abuja, the Federation Account Allocation Committee shared N2.338 trillion in August 2026 revenue among the Federal Government, states, and Local Government Councils.
- Total gross revenue available for distribution reached N3.685 trillion in August, comprising N1.565 trillion in Statutory revenue and N773.233 billion from Value Added Tax .
- Gross VAT revenue rose to N834.843 billion in August from N793.968 billion in July, representing an increase of N40.875 billion. Deductions for collection costs totaled N125.142 billion, while transfers and savings reached N1.221 trillion.
- The Federal Government received N804.897 billion from the total distributable revenue, while state governments were allocated N794.313 billion, with Local Government Councils receiving the remainder.
- Petroleum Profit Tax, Value Added Tax, and Excise Duty increased significantly in August, while Companies Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Mineral Royalties recorded considerable declines.
