Fernando Clavijo: “The government is deliberately delaying the transfer of minors”
The president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo (La Laguna, 53), is angry. He has been trying for more than a year to bring forward an agreement so that the 5,800 minors who welcome the islands can be transferred to other territories, but the agreement does not come. “There is no precedent in history in which a territory as abandoned as it is leaving the Canary Islands has been left,” he says.
