The visiting Debrecen won 3–0 at Fehérvár's home ground in the final, 33rd round of the OTP Bank League, thus remaining in the first division, from which the Székesfehérvár team said goodbye in 11th place after 25 years.

People with weaker memories certainly can't say when the Hungarian football championship was last this intense: the decision on both relegation and the championship title was left for the last round. In the former case, the question was whether Fehérvár or Debrecen would bid farewell to the top flight, alongside Kecskemét, who had already bid farewell weeks earlier.

Debrecen won the relegation round in the 33rd, i.e. final round of the football NB I, and not just by chance, they beat the farewell Fehérvár 3-0 away.
