- Justice M. G. Umar was reassigned from Enugu to Abuja to assume Justice Ekwo's cases, while four other judges were moved among the Gombe, Yola, Awka, Enugu, and Abakaliki divisions; judges in Abakaliki and Katsina were directed to handle all pending and new cases until further notice.
- The Court's Director of Information, Dr Catherine Oby Christopher, stated, "The posting took immediate effect," and ordered affected judges to deliver all pending judgments at their current stations promptly.
- This reshuffle intends to improve judicial efficiency and manage case backlogs, though concerns exist that frequent transfers could disrupt case continuity and access to justice.
