Federal Court Grants Preliminary Injunction on Behalf of Rutgers

The preliminary injunction granted today requires the government to fully restore the students’ records retroactive to the original date of termination and provides due process protections.

On April 28, the University of Massachusetts Amherst announced on its Federal Actions page that “all 13 immigration statuses have been reinstated by the federal government.” With student statuses returned, the Department of Justice and ICE say they are working on new policies to evaluate students with revoked legal statuses.
