- On Oct. 29, 2025, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration announced a recall of select Moonlight Companies peaches sold between Sept. 16, 2025, and Oct. 29, 2025, over possible Listeria contamination.
- Retailers and consumers can identify affected fruit by PLU sticker 4401, 4044 plus UPC and lot codes listed by the FDA, excluding those labeled "Washington" or "Organic".
- If you ate the peaches, monitor for high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea and contact your doctor, as listeriosis can be serious for children, elderly people, people with weakened immune systems, and pregnant people.
