FBI Joins Expanding Search for Missing 4-Year-Old South Carolina Girl
Authorities are using drones, helicopters and door-to-door checks as multiple agencies search for the missing 4-year-old, officials said.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation joined state and local agencies searching for 4-year-old Javeayah Harris, who disappeared Tuesday evening near the intersection of Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road in Aiken County.
Authorities are canvassing the neighborhood, collecting surveillance video, and deploying helicopters and drones to locate the missing child. First responders conduct door-to-door checks and search wooded areas.
Javeayah is 3 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 40 pounds, and has pink braided hair. She was last seen wearing pink Minnie Mouse pajamas and Crocs and may fit into small spaces.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office urges residents to search their properties for anywhere a small child might hide. Anyone with information should call 911 or the dedicated tip line at 502-5200.
Investigators continue pursuing every lead, emphasizing that no detail is too small in efforts to bring Javeayah home safely. They expressed appreciation for the community's ongoing support.
