FBI investigated Maine link to infamous D.B. Cooper plane hijacking

The FBI investigated Raymond Sidney Russell, a pilot from Norway, Maine, in 1972 as a potential D.B. Cooper suspect but later dismissed him, according to files with a 30-page section on him.

The man known as D.B. Cooper jumped out of the commercial airplane with ransom money in 1971 and has never been found.
