Fatal crash near I-276 Ft. Washington Exit, investigation underway - Around Ambler
A fatal crash took place on I-276 East near the Fort Washington Exit #339 around 12:00am on Tuesday, July 8, NBC10 reported. An investigation is underway though further details have not been released. The crash had the left eastbound lanes closed for hours. Illinois State Police is investigating a fatal accident that caused the closing of the Edens Expressway highway on Monday afternoon. According to authorities, the accident occurred near the 30 mile marker, between Dundee Road and Route 41, in the Northbrook suburb. As a result of the accident, all lanes into the Edens Expressway motorway are closed between Edens Spur and Willow Road, according to Illinois State Police.
