Fatal shooting of Aroostook County man who shot deputy, police dog was justified, Maine AG says

The Maine Attorney General found the police response justified after Steven Righini shot a deputy and a police dog during a 12-hour standoff, officials said.

Steven Righini, 29, of Portage Lake, was killed by police officers on Feb. 3 after an hourslong standoff.
