One Dead in Crash Between Vehicle and Motorcycle in Langley, B.C.
ICARS is assisting as road closures remain in place and police ask witnesses to contact investigators.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, a motorcycle rider died after crashing in the 20500-block of 16th Avenue in Langley. Langley RCMP responded to the scene, where the individual succumbed to injuries despite life-saving efforts.
Preliminary findings indicate the rider lost control and left the road, according to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom. Crashes are common on this busy through road connecting Abbotsford and Surrey.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service has been deployed to assist with the investigation. Police stated no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Road closures remained in effect for several hours following the crash, forcing motorists to find alternate routes. The scene has since been cleared pending continued investigation.
