Major Fashion Retailer Returns to UK High Street After Closing All Stores 6 Years Ago
The plus-size brand is now stocked in more than 50 Yours Clothing locations, with 36 stores getting permanent Evans-branded sections.
After a six-year hiatus, the plus-size retailer Evans has officially returned to the UK high street as dedicated concessions inside over 50 Yours Clothing locations across the UK and Ireland.
The brand closed all stores in December 2020 after parent company Arcadia Group entered administration, ending 90 years of history since Evans's establishment in 1930.
Out of the 50-plus locations, 36 feature permanent, dedicated Evans-branded sections. A Yours Clothing spokesperson told Fashion Network that "Plus-size women are among the most loyal fashion shoppers in the UK."
This return contrasts sharply with a difficult year for UK retail, where major brands Bennett and Claire closed all stores, while Las Iguanas and Poundstretcher have "fallen into financial difficulties."
While many retailers struggle, selective growth continues for major names like Aldi and Superdrug, which have announced new store openings for 2026 despite widespread closures across the sector.
