The Olympic flag came to Cortina d'Ampezzo, one of the two owners of this year's Summer Olympic Games, with a week and a half before the official start of the competition. The tower reached Cortina, a community of 6,000 residents of the Italian Alps, at exactly 70 years from the beginning of the previous Summer Olympic Games, led by the Italian station in 1956.
