Farmington makes change for penny shortage

Town offices will round all transactions up to the nearest 5 cents if pennies run out, after the U.S. Treasury said each costs 3.69 cents to make.

The Select Board approved a policy to round town transactions up to the next nickel when pennies are no longer available.
